1. Acceptance of Terms

"User": Any individual or entity accessing or using the Site.
"Organizer": The entity operating the Site and organizing the conference.
"Content": Text, images, videos, and other materials on the Site.
3. Use of the Site
3.1. Eligibility: Users must be at least 18 years old or have parental/guardian consent to use the Site.
3.2. Account Registration: Users may need to create an account to access certain features. You agree to provide accurate information and keep your login credentials secure.
3.3. Prohibited Activities: Users must not:
- Use the Site for illegal or unauthorized purposes.
- Upload malicious software or engage in hacking.
- Infringe on intellectual property rights.

4. Intellectual Property

5.1. Compliance with PDPO: The Organizer complies with Hong Kong’s Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486).
5.2. Data Collection: We collect personal data (e.g., name, email, payment details) to provide services, process registrations, and improve the Site.
5.3. Data Use: Personal data may be used for:
- Conference registration and communication.
- Marketing (with user consent).
- Compliance with legal obligations.
5.4. Data Sharing: Data may be shared with third-party service providers (e.g., payment processors) under strict confidentiality agreements.

6. Payments and Refunds
6.1. Payment Methods: Payments for conference registration must be made through the approved payment gateway of the Site.
6.2. Currency: All transactions are processed in Hong Kong Dollars (HKD) unless otherwise stated. Other currencies when quoted are for comparison and reference only.
6.3. Refunds: Refund policies are outlined during the registration process. Refunds are subject to the Organizer’s discretion and applicable laws.
7. Limitation of Liability
7.1. Disclaimer: The Site is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. The Organizer does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access.
7.2. Liability Cap: The Organizer’s liability for any claims arising from the use of the Site is limited to the amount paid by the User for the conference registration.
7.3. Force Majeure: The Organizer is not liable for disruptions caused by events beyond reasonable control (e.g. pandemics, natural disasters).
7.4. Indemnification: Users agree to indemnify the Organizer against any claims arising from their misuse of the Site.
8. Electronic Transactions
8.1. Compliance with ETO: The Organizer complies with Hong Kong’s Electronic Transactions Ordinance (Cap. 553). Electronic records and signatures are legally binding.
8.2. Communication: By using the Site, you consent to receive electronic communications (e.g., emails, notifications).
9. Termination
9.1. By User: Users may stop using the Site at any time.
9.2. By Organizer: The Organizer may suspend or terminate access for violations of these T&Cs or applicable laws.
10. Dispute Resolution
10.1. Governing Law: These T&Cs are governed by the laws of HKSAR.
10.2. Arbitration: Any disputes shall be resolved through arbitration in Hong Kong under the **Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (HKIAC) rules.
10.3. Jurisdiction: Courts in HKSAR shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes.
11. Amendments
11.1. The Organizer reserves the right to update these T&Cs at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting on the Site.
11.2. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised T&Cs.

Refund Policy
Refund Policy

1. Event Cancellation by the Organizer
In the event of cancellation of the Conference or any associated event(s) by the Organizer, Participants shall be entitled to a full refund of all Fees paid.
2. Participant-Initiated Fee Transference
2.1. A Participant may request to transfer the Fees paid for the Conference or associated event(s) to an eligible substitute participant of equivalent registration status, subject to written approval by the Organizer.
2.2. All transfer requests must be submitted in writing to the Honorary Secretary of IMCHK via email no later than seven (7) calendar days prior to the commencement of the Event.
3. Voluntary Cancellation
No refunds shall be issued for cancellations initiated by Participants, except as expressly provided under Clause 1 (Event Cancellation by the Organizer).
4. Statutory Rights
Nothing in this Policy shall prejudice any statutory rights or remedies available to Participants under the Laws of Hong Kong, including but not limited to the *Sale of Goods Ordinance (Cap. 26)*, *Trade Descriptions Ordinance (Cap. 362)*, and *Unconscionable Contracts Ordinance (Cap. 458)*.
